Since 1950, the Engineering Co-op Program has been a joint effort between the University of Minnesota and engineering firms to provide students with the best education possible. The majors served in this program are:

  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Computer Engineering
  • Industrial & Systems Engineering

The program provides industrial experience during the last two years of a student's academic career. During this period, students complete two or three full-time industrial assignments alternating with regular academic semesters.

  • More than 120 students interview each year
  • Over 40 companies participate in the biannual interview week each year
  • Students typically earn $20,000 - $35,000 during their two or three semester work terms
